Personal Reflection
Situation:
I am a university student at Swinburne University of Technology, whereby I was given the task of completing an excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet requires several criteria such as self-written formulas, standard functions, conditional formatting, and graphs. However, prior to this task, I have little to no knowledge of Microsoft Excel and could be considered a beginner.

Task :
To ensure that I could finish the task before the semester ends, I proactively utilize resources given by the lecturers such as online excel boot camps and short excel courses on LinkedIn. My main goal was to finish the online courses on LinkedIn and complete the task using the knowledge obtained from the online courses.

Action:
This experience has enabled me to improve my excel skills significantly as I was not very confident with excel and not comfortable with the various excel functions. However, that is not the case now because I spent many hours on the excel courses and finished them before the end of the semester. I learned various excel skills such as "VLOOKUP", "PivotTables", "Conditional Formatting" etc.

Results:
The result obtained was satisfactory as I had improved my excel skills. I think learning Microsoft Excel is really important in the future as spreadsheets are commonly used in universities and the workforce. This is because in today's society whereby data can be easily obtained, being proficient with excel would be a really big help in rearranging and graphing data.
